"Watch Where?" Privacy Policy Effective date: 2026-06-05 Last updated: 2026-06-05 This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application "Watch Where?" (the "Service", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information. Watch Where? is an OTT streaming search and notification app that helps you find where movies and TV shows are available to stream and notifies you when wishlisted titles become available. The Service has no user accounts or login. We do not request your name, email, phone number, or precise location. Your wishlist, recent searches, and preferences (country/language, subscribed OTTs, notification settings, consent choice) are stored only on your device and are not transmitted to our servers. 1. Information We Collect (1) Analytics, crash, and performance data (Google Firebase SDK) — collected only with your consent - Firebase Analytics: anonymized App Instance ID, in-app activity (screens viewed, search performed with result counts, wishlist add/remove events), device model, OS, language, and approximate country/region derived from IP address. - Firebase Crashlytics: device information (model, OS version, CPU architecture, etc.), crash timestamps and error logs. - Firebase Performance Monitoring: performance traces and network request metadata. We do NOT collect advertising identifiers (ADID/IDFA) and do NOT use advertising SDKs (ad-personalization signals disabled). We do NOT send your raw search text; only the result count is recorded. (2) Content data (TMDB API) To show movie/TV information and streaming availability, the Service sends your search queries, selected country/region, and language to The Movie Database (TMDB). Your IP address is visible to TMDB as part of the network request. This data is used only to return results. (3) Local notifications The Service sends local notifications (generated on your device) when a wishlisted title becomes available. No data is sent to a server to power these notifications. 2. How We Use Information - Provide core features: search, streaming availability, wishlist, recommendations, release calendar, sharing. - With your consent: understand usage trends, diagnose crashes, and improve performance and stability. 3. Legal Bases (EEA/UK — GDPR) - Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for Firebase analytics, crash, and performance data. You may withdraw consent at any time. - Performance of the service / legitimate interests for the network requests strictly necessary to deliver content you request (TMDB). In the EEA/UK, Firebase data collection is OFF by default and starts only if you opt in. 4. Your Choices and Rights - Consent control: turn data collection on/off anytime in Settings > Privacy > Usage data collection. - GDPR (EEA/UK): right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. - California (CCPA/CPRA): right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sale"/"sharing". We do not sell personal information; the Settings toggle serves as your opt-out of analytics sharing. - Because there are no accounts, you can remove all on-device data by clearing app storage or uninstalling the app. To request deletion of analytics data associated with your app instance, contact us. To exercise any right, email jh.lee.bs.93@gmail.com. 5. Data Sharing and Third Parties - Google / Firebase — analytics, crash, performance (consent-based). See Google's Privacy Policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy - The Movie Database (TMDB) — content data provider. See: https://www.themoviedb.org/privacy-policy We do not sell personal information and do not use advertising SDKs. 6. International Data Transfers Firebase and TMDB are operated by companies in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses). 7. Data Retention - On-device data: retained until you delete it or uninstall the app. - Firebase Analytics data: retained per our Firebase configuration (minimized retention); crash/performance data per Google's defaults. 8. Children The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect their data. 9. Security - Minimized access permissions. - Data anonymization and in-transit encryption (HTTPS). - Consent-based collection (Firebase collection disabled unless you opt in) and off-by-default configuration. 10. Changes We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. 11.
